In Luke’s gospel (Luke 1), The angel of the Lord visited a young woman named Mary. Gabriel called her “favoured one,” and told her that she would conceive and bear a son. “He will be great, and will be called Son of the Most High.” The angel went on to say that that God would give him David’s throne.

Mark Lowry, a singer and songwriter, penned this  song, “Mary, Did You Know?” The song captures a mother’s wonder at this special baby and what he would someday grow to become. It’s beautiful and deeply moving.
