Word on the Street, Kitchener– I’ll be there
In cities across Canada, Word on the Street celebrates reading and advocates literacy. I’ve been involved with Word on the Street in Victoria Park, Kitchener, nearly every year since its first event.
The first year, I volunteered with the City of Kitchener, helping a crafsperson from the New Hamburg area in her booth. Other years, I have been involved promoting The Word Guild and our area Toastmasters, including storytelling on the stage and initiating a Table Topics (impromptu speaking) session right on the street.
This year, I will be involved in a different capacity than before. I will be reading from my book, Once Upon a Sandbox. Come and hear my stories at 4:00 pm in the Adult Author tent. There will be a question and answer session after my reading. My books will be available for purchase through Chapters’ stand and in the Adult Author tent after my reading, and I can autograph your copy too, if you wish.
Hope to see you there.
