Christmas Day may be over,  services celebrating the birth of Jesus, but are there not 12 days of Christmas? After the baby was born, shepherds would still have been telling others about the baby. The angels gone back to heaven, but not done with their singing praises. Mary and Joseph tending their new baby and then there was a jealous king, though we may not know just how long before he had suspicions that there was a new king. Was it before the wise men came from the East? Or was he  hearing rumblings about it before, like a rumour?

In the Christian church we celebrate the wise men’s coming in early January though we suspect the family had a home in the town before  that. The wise men really tipped off the beginning of a hot rage in Herod, but they found the baby and his parents, gave their gifts and departed another way  to return home, all by the signal of a dream such as Joseph also had.
