Saturday Snapshot–Signs of Spring
Frost on the plants this morning
My footprint in some of the remaining snow
Tulip stems? Wait and see.
Daffodils soon to come in our front flowerbed, and narcissus on the right
I’m ready for spring. How about you?
Saturday Snapshot hosted by At Home With Books
To participate in Saturday Snapshot: post a photo that you (or a friend or family member) have taken. Photos can be old or new, and be of any subject as long as they are clean and appropriate for all eyes to see. Go and see what other pictures are there.
Fun! I need more flowers around here that will pop up and cheer me up from all the snow.
I’ll show photos when they’re in bloom. I’ve been longing for spring, so at last a sign of it. 🙂
Have you had a lot of snow?
I do love the spring “welcoming committee.” There is nothing that says spring any better…thanks for sharing, and thanks for visiting my blog.
That’s an excellent expression for the spring flowers. Love it.
Thanks for visiting my blog too.
Slowly but surely, spring is poking its head up through the snow. We haven’t had snow here in Oregon but we’re sure enjoying the break from the winter rains!
You get rain like we get snow? Enjoy spring weather when it comes. 🙂
I keep hoping spring is on the way – there are buds and tiny leaves on the trees, and some flowers in bloom, but we’ve had snow, high winds, ice and freezing temperatures again this week. My Snapshot is at http://goo.gl/AnAv3
I hope that the freezing rain is on its way out soon, Christine. Thank you for stopping by my blog and commenting.
Love the mix of frost and flowers. A great job capturing a moment. 🙂
Thank you, jblynn. It was time to catch those early shoots and some that will soon have flowers.
There’s new life under that snow! So excited for all of us!
Yes, the new life. We’re all ready for spring, I think, at least where we get snow. 🙂 Thanks for stopping by and commenting.
I love the flowers pushing their way through. Even before they bloom, I know what they offer. Here’s Mine
Exactly. It’s the promise of flowers to come. Thanks for stopping by, Paulita.
Just when we thought there would be some blooms, I wanted to cover my tulips up with a blankie, but I’m sure Mother Nature knows best.
Sometimes we do have to cover them, but most often those bulbs are hardier than we think. Hail would be a different matter entirely. Thanks for stopping by my blog.
How exciting it must be to see beautiful bulbs coming up where frost was so recently!
We’ve had lots of rain the past few days, with risk of the freezing stuff later today, but spring is almost here. 🙂
Bulbs are so lovely, always wonderful to see in the spring, sadly we in Australia are sliding towards winter.
Getting your comment late, but good to hear from you all the same. What sort of bulb flowers do you see in Australia?
Spring has sprung♫♪ Hallelujah♥ Thanks for dropping by my blog!
You’re welcome and thanks for your musical comment as well.
