Saturday Snapshots– At Sunset
I had to pull over to the side of the road when we were driving home one evening in the fall to get this sunset. Just couldn’t resist. To avoid getting the hydro wires, I would have had to go out in the field, which I wasn’t about to do at this time of evening.
At Home With Books: To participate in the Saturday Snapshot meme post a photo that you (or a friend or family member) have taken then leave a direct link to your post in the Mister Linky below. Photos can be old or new, and be of any subject as long as they are clean and appropriate for all eyes to see.
Oh that’s beautiful! Pulling over to take a picture is something I would have done too.
I found the first place I could on the country road and stepped out to take it. I had a number of snapshots of the sunset that evening in various places on our way home.
I love sunrise and sunset shots. The colors are always amazing!
On the lookout for those photos often. Like Alyce’s moon photo, it sometimes takes a bunch to get the right one. Thanks for stopping by.
Lucky that you had your camera. This sky was not to be missed. Gorgeous colors!
Thanks for stopping by, Kaye. We were coming home from visiting family members and grandchildren. I often take the camera along. I was so glad I had it.
Love it! The colors are amazing.
Thanks, Lisa. Such an array of bright colour.
Great picture – I love the colors in the clouds.
Saturday Snapshot
It was the vivid colours that attracted me, and the patterns in the clouds. Thanks for stopping by.
The sky is gorgeous!
Nature offers us such grandeur, doesn’t it? Thanks for stopping by.
Love those colors. The wires help anchor the photo, don’t they? Here’s Mine
The wires do give perspective. Thanks, Paulita.
What a gorgeous capture; love it.
Sometimes, well maybe often, when we take pictures, we hope the camera can capture the beauty. In this case, I am very pleased too. Thanks for your comment.
Always love those sunrises/sunsets with purple in them. I get a lot of nice sunsets at my house but those annoying wires ruin all of them. I have to drive to a nearby prairie to get a clear view.
For the perfect sunset, we wouldn’t have wires. Love the purple and reds in them.
Guess we need those wires to connect us, but I wouldn’t go wandering in the dark for the best shot. Thanks for stopping by.
Maybe you’ll share some of your prairie sunsets soon. I’d like to see them.
So beautiful. There are many times when I wished I had my camera with me. Glad you did.
Thanks, ‘Nise. There have been times that I missed things for not having my camera handy.
Even with the wires it’s a gorgeous shot!
Thanks, Alyce. With all the colour, the lines aren’t too distracting.
Just gorgeous!
Thanks for stopping by and commenting. Perhaps you’ll post some photos another Saturday.
I remember now; your picture of the pelican sitting on the rock. Loved that pic.
Gorgeous shot!
