    • Thanks. There’s nothing like a pumpkin and scarecrow to set the scene. Must secure scarecrow a little more so the wind doesn’t knock him over.

  1. Love your pumpkin! My kids carved theirs at a church event and I need to get a picture of them before they turn into mush!

  2. Last year, one of my pumpkins turned to mush. We didn’t carve the other one and cooked it for making pumpkin pies and such. This year, I bought two small pumpkins.

    • Thanks, Bev. My husband located the scarecrow. He put it away so well last year that I couldn’t find it. It’s ready to go back out as soon as we locate the mini bale.

    • My decorations are quite simple; that’s the way I like it. When I was growing up, we were on a farm. We went to maybe three houses and got home-made goodies, but only after the cows were milked and fed and the eggs were gathered.

  3. Thanks, Alyce. When we were on Cape Breton Island on the Cabot Trail last year, we saw a whole field of scarecrows. It was called Joe’s Scarecrows. Some were scary, some were very odd, and some kind of cute. The place was for sale. Hard to tell if they will be there anymore.
