When I zoomed in on the picture, I wasn’t as aware of the evergreen colour in back, mostly of the flower. I’m delighted with the results though. We saw many beautiful flowers.
Very pretty. I like have the cone flowers in my garden, they require little maintenance and always look good.
The coneflowers are native plants and seem drougth tolerant, which is the reason they look good when others are wilting. I like them and will look for the variety in this photo. I have the pink coneflowers.
That one is really lovely, full-size. I love the color combination – the ice blue pine needles, the warmer tones of the flower – great together.
Those are so pretty! That one looks like a sunbathing daisy. 🙂
I think it’s a variety of echinacea, since it looks so much like my purple coneflower. Sure enough on googling it: echinacea paradoxa.
I wonder if it is related to the daisies, which would be why I like them so much.
Very pretty! I love daisies 🙂
Very nice contrast–with the evergreen-type foliage in the background.

Here’s my S.S.
Thanks, Lisa. I just wanted to get that lovely flower by itself. Yes, the pine needles are a perfect backdrop.
