We drove a curvy dirt road off the main Cabot Trail to find these falls.

Quiet back there, only the sound of the water rushing down and the birds. It felt like a piece of unspoiled Eden, so that even if there were a few of us there to see the falls, we didn’t talk much, but mostly absorbed the peace of the place.
