Cabot Trail, Cape Breton Highlands– a breathtaking drive — No Comments

  1. Certainly this is a beautiful part of the world that my husband and I were fortunate enough to travel to in 2005. True about the roads…gorgeous scenery, but stop and look instead of looking while driving…it can be treacherous!

      • Sorry for the delay…but I loved the scenery along the Cabot Trail. At one high lookout point, we stopped to take photos [my husband & I are photographers] In the ocean way below us, we thought we were seeing large rocks below, until they moved. I used my zoom lens on my camera then, as we were seeing large whales. We regretted being so high up then. We also went whale watching at Pleasant Bay, but these pilot whales we saw, were much, much smaller than our first discovery. Such a wonderful holiday, we will never forget and of course we have the photos to prove it.

        • I would love someday to go whale watching on a boat or see them a bit closer. We were pretty high up when we saw those whales swimming around and wished we`d had the binoculars with us.
