I’ve just signed up for the Awesome Author Challenge  for 2010.

I love to read and enjoy both fiction and non-fiction. I’m starting with the easy level since I already have plenty of reading as an editor and creative writing teacher.

 The Giller Prize short list contains some pretty interesting books, including The Winter Vault by Anne Michaels. I can think other Canadian authors whom I have yet to read. I’ll report on those in another post.

 AAA at Blogger suggested Niffenegger’s Timer Traveler’s Wife and as I have not read any books by this author, I’m  going to start there. I’ve already read The Kite Runner by Hosseini so reading A Thousand Splendid Suns does not count. I may read the book anyway.  AAA also suggested The Mayor of Casterbridge by Thomas Hardy. There’s another author I have never read.
